Beyond
the blue bottom line, we care for humanity and nature. So we behave on
our administration as socially responsible entrepreneurs. We are
committed since long assisting education, culture, philosophy and
sustainability. We share a percentage of our profits to causes with a
purpose as something essential to our
vision of life. Our long term target is to share no less than 10% of the
profits we produce. If the financing partner doesn't agree with it,
then we don't touch his profit share, but, we the local partners will
do it from our side, because we care for the country where we live.
Also, if an investor is interested, we can develop or assist together a
good cause outside of Chile.
It is on the core of our main interest as persons to extend these practical actions on the businesses we are engaged. We don't see conflict between getting private and solid returns, and sharing this abundance with the community. More than philanthropy, we talk about COOPERATION, bonding, linking, SHARING, generosity, working together. Assisting people and organization with a purpose on their life. Not necessarily a non profit organization. You could assist a teacher or a doctor, or a shaman, or a small company to expand its outstanding work. To cooperate one another for a kind purpose. There is great people working on the State and on the for-profit sector. Not just on the non-profit area of the society. We need to estimulate cooperation between everyone, sharing knowledge, funds, empathy, kindness at the end.
We believe we do not have to wait until being rich and
old, to share back with the less handicapped.
We see life as a marathon with many mountains to climb. There are ups and downs here and there, and a saviour hand, I am sure, we had been lucky to receive on some moment on our own marathon of life. Preventing us from falling deep and being more hurt. We just feel we have to do the same while we run, walk or struggle up, with our fellows mates. Just as simple as that. On the marathon of life we have many endings, many joyful tops, and then a new lap begins. So, we can not wait until we are old and rich to share. It may be a selfish attitude when someone is just falling down on our side. Just think that person may be one of your loved ones. Would you tell him or her, wait, I would assist you when I am old and rich. Certainly, if that is the case, you will loose their affection and their love, probably for a long time.

Humankind is just like our brothers, sisters, children,
parents, grandparents. relatives and friends. A heart feeling community
and if we can give a hand, without falling down with them, we must reach
it out. This is the philosophy of life we invite you to have with us,
while we do business. While we keep the balance and the energy for our
companies, employees and shareholders, we can share our strength now and
then with the Community. One of our main focus is in education, because
we help the people to regain their strength and build their own
capacities. Not only giving a fish today, but also teaching them to fish
for their life. Not holding them today when they are falling, but
teaching them to raise again and walk happily their own marathon of
life.
I think cooperation and service, are words we all in the world understand, because since being a child we learn to help each other. The word philanthropy somehow is more a corporate concept that doesn't express well the need to walk and live together with the people we serve. I think that normal people, small business people, practice cooperation and service as something natural on a daily basis. The act of giving, the act of sharing, the act of serving others, also gives a great return, a great spiritual fulfilment to whom is assisting others. Why do we need to wait until the last breath of our life to live the love and compassion experience? Why do we need to postpone until late on our life the very same purpose of our own existence us humankind? : Kindness.
A bird borne on its parent nest, will not become a bird on its own, if he doesn't fly. A man, a woman, can not become a truly human being, unless he span the wings of his spirit, practicing kindness on every small action he practices daily. It is fool for a bird to be seated on his net for years and just on the final days of his life, he recalls his essence was to fly. The same for a person. He wastes his life, if he doesn't practice the act of sharing, of cooperating with others on a daily base. Business people, employees, managers, owners, you better start opening your wings, because your spirit is always blowing great ideas and feelings for you. Start flying with your innner energy and start supporting and sharing your life with those that for some moments of their life, are down on their own marathon. You got the energy to teach others how to raise their life to the most universal experience. The feeling that we are all related, the understanding of the links of life, the comprehension that unity is the essence that fulfill the wise person, the saint, and the hero. Is there any philosophy of life greater than this comprehension? Start sharing, because it is the basic arithmetic of the Universe.
